Market Gardeners Group celebrates 100 years with profit growth

Fruit and vegetable grower co-operative Market Gardeners Group has celebrated its centenary by growing profits. In its annual report for the year ended June 30, the group declared that net profit after tax (npat) rose 265% to $13.9 million from $3.8m the previous year.With more than 400 grower-shareholders, Market Gardeners owns fresh produce suppliers such as JS Ewers, Southern Paprika, NZ Fruit Tree Company, and Kaipaki Berryfruits.
