A ban on live exports by sea from New Zealand won’t last if the National party has its way.On Wednesday, a bill was passed 77 to 43 to end the practice on April 30, 2023.Now cattle, deer, sheep and goats can be exported by sea if there is an animal welfare export certificate.  According to National’s animal welfare spokesperson, Nicola Grigg, the bill passed despite her party opposing it, and it will be reviewed by any future National government. “Rather than an outright ban on live exports, the government should leg...
