New Zealand's dairy companies and other industries are hopeful upcoming trade negotiations with the United Arab Emirates result in tariff-free access to the Gulf state. Trade minister Todd McClay announced the talks after meeting in Dubai with United Arab Emirates (UAE) trade minister Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
