New Zealand oat milk producer Otis has opened the first purpose-built factory for plant-based milk in Auckland. Otis has been exporting NZ oats to Sweden for manufacturing, which it said was to safeguard its recipe. The production line in east Auckland started rolling this month, and the company expects to produce around half a million litres of oat milk in the first 30 days of operation. The product will be hitting shelves around NZ from July 1.The production facility is owned by beverage producer Free-flow Manufacturing.
