Synlait CEO Leon Clement makes surprise resignation

Synlait has been hit by its biggest customer A2 going through tough times.

Synlait’s dire first-half result may have been the catalyst that led chief executive Leon Clement to exit stage-left.Clement will stay in the position until the end of April when co-founder, former chief executive and board member John Penno will take over in an interim capacity on May 1. Clement has been chief executive since 2018. The company will begin recruiting shortly.
