Synlait Milk has confirmed a $10/kgMS opening forecast milk price.As expected, it has matched Fonterra Co-operative Group’s opening price, which it announced last week.In March, Synlait managed to get a majority of farmers to withdraw their cease notices, giving it confidence it had “sufficient” milk volumes for the next two dairy seasons.It enticed them to stay by guaranteeing to match the market base milk price and advance rates, essentially Fonterra, as well as paying a 10c/kgMS premium for the next three seasons in additio...
