Synlait hikes milk forecast on strong demand

Synlait Milk lifted its forecast milk price for the 2020/2021 season to $7.20 per kilogram of milk solids from $6.40/kgMS, citing high dairy prices.The company said the shift was driven by the strong increase in dairy commodity prices over recent months and the company’s view that commodity prices will remain about current levels for the remainder of the milk season.“Despite the wider global uncertainty, dairy commodity prices have remained robust," national milk supply manager David Williams said.On Jan. 19 global dairy prices...
