'Well diversified' Fonterra brushes aside China trade concerns

Dairy giant Fonterra has batted away concerns that New Zealand could face trade tensions with China and that the dairy cooperative needs to diversify its export markets.“Fonterra exports to over 130 markets around the world, so operating through trade tensions is not new to us,” a spokesperson told BusinessDesk.The comments were made after Nanaia Mahuta, the foreign minister, told The Guardian Australia that NZ could find itself caught in a “storm” of anger from China directed at Australia, and exporters should diversify...
