All-important whole milk powder prices have dropped after “notably” softer demand.The second fortnightly Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction of the new dairy season – which began on June 1 - was held overnight, with the average price index slipping 0.5% to US$3,893 (NZ$6336) a metric tonne.  It is the first auction since March 19 where the index has dropped.
