Whole milk powder rises 3.6% on strong demand

Dairy product prices rose at the Global Dairy Trade auction, bolstered by strong appetite for milk powder. The GDT price index rallied 3.7 percent from the previous auction three weeks ago. It was the fourth consecutive gain. The average price was US$3,446 a tonne, compared with US$3,330 a tonne three weeks ago.
