WorkSafe visit to BX Foods finds no system to monitor worker health

BX Foods has been slapped with improvement notices after WorkSafe found no systems in place to monitor worker health at the site.Workers at the embattled North Otago meat company will find out this week the outcome of a proposal to slash nearly half of its processing staff.The processor is part of Binxi Group, founded 20 years ago in the Chinese city of Harbin.VisitingWorkSafe previously confirmed that two concerns related to BX Foods’ parent entity, NZ Binxi (Oamaru) Foods, had been raised, but it said neither required intervention.The h...
