Annual house price inflation slowed to 19.9% in January with prices dropping 1.5% from December and 0.9% in the three months ended January.While January is normally a quiet month in the real estate market, the annual pace slowed from 23.3% in December, another quiet month because of the summer holidays, according to the Real Estate Institute's house price index.The number of houses sold in January fell 28.6% to 3,665 from January last year and the institute acknowledged this made January weaker than is usual for the first month of the year....
