The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) is asking the High Court to strike out a claim by a group of Du Val investors that it breached its duties.The group swapped their units in Du Val funds for shares in a new company just before the property developer collapsed last year and blames the regulator for the loss of value of their shareholding.It is being led by Lindeman Investments, owned by Whangamatā businessman Karl Lindeman, who along with around 66 others exchanged their debt interests for shares in the newly set up Du Val Property Group (DVP...
