Crown Terrace resident Mark Weldon has accused his neighbour Russell Coutts of illegally diverting water and distorting flow data relied on to apply for renewed water take rights, although the champion sailor’s counsel rejected the claim outright.It was alleged this diverted water was then added to the total take Coutts was claiming came from his own supply which is subject to the water right claim in question.In a 90 minute submission opposing the proposed water take, Weldon said there was substantial evidence his neighbour was unlawfull...
