Fletcher Building beat its own annual profit guidance and credited its turnaround strategy.While the net result for year ended June turned to a $305 million profit from a $196m loss the previous year, earnings before interest and tax (ebit) came in at $669m compared with the guidance range of $610m to $660m and up from $160m the previous year.The company, which has put investors through years of losses and unpleasant shocks, will pay a final dividend of 18 cents per share on Sept 17, taking the annual payout to 30cps.
