Fletcher Building managing director Andrew Reding says the building giant making cuts is horrible and hard to do, but it is doing them the right way. He was speaking after the multinational held its annual shareholder meeting in Auckland on Wednesday. The company has consistently announced cutbacks since Reding was appointed in August 2024, as it tussles with a deep economic malaise and Fletcher Building’s legacy of difficult and costly projects such as the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC).
