Buyer interest continued to trickle back into the housing market during August, with year-on-year sales up 9.2% to 5,509 sales, led by a warming Auckland market, where sales were up an annualised 18.2% to 1,819 for the month.The Real Estate Institute's (REINZ) August report also shows a decline in median days to sell, at a national average of 43 days, down by five days on July, halting a medium-term trend of homes taking longer to move.The biggest decline for August was in Nelson, where average sale times were down 18 days, from 60 to 42 da...
