House price inflation down to 14.3%, sales drop 32.8% in February

Annual house price inflation slowed to 14.3% in February although prices nationwide still gained 0.5% in the month of February.The Real Estate Institute's house price index showed annual rate has slowed from 19.9% in January and from the peak at 31.1% in August last year and it's scaling the 21.5% annual increase in February last year.However, sales activity fell 32.8% in February to 5,597 homes compared with 8,324 in February last year, although that was up from 3,665 homes sold in January."Market sentiment has shifted over the pa...
