House prices surged further in March with the highest number of houses sold in a March month in 14 years.The 9,721 homes changing hands in March jumped 31.2% from the 7,408 sold in March last year while the Real Estate Institute's (REINZ) house price index came in 24% higher than a year ago.That's up from the 21.5% annual pace of house price inflation in February.In the regions, the highest price rises were in Gisborne/Hawkes Bay, up 32.4% and the smallest increases were in Otago, which includes Queenstown, up 12.8% – that was the...
