About 1,000 Inland Revenue staff in its main central Wellington office have been sent home after the building was found to be an earthquake risk.IRD said in a statement they would be working from home after a new seismic assessment put the Asteron building at a lower level than previously assessed.The department occupies seven floors of the Asteron building on Featherston St, with up to 1,000 employees working from the building.It has been looking to renew the lease on the building and said, as standard practice, it had asked for a detaile...
