New home consents fell a seasonally adjusted 4.5 percent in July reflecting a pullback in retirement village development permits.Still, new consents for townhouses and stand-alone houses remained elevated, helping push seasonally adjusted new residential permits to almost 10,000 since the April lockdown and seasonally adjusted new dwelling consents to 37,491 in the 12 months ended July 31.
