A property development company linked to a recently liquidated construction firm has been accused of failing to fulfil its obligations to a homeowner who was left out of pocket. The Disputes Tribunal has ordered developer Athena Private to compensate an Auckland homebuyer for defects in the $1.5 million Ōrākei property she purchased off the plans.  In December, Sarah (not her real name) was awarded the maximum penalty of $30,000 for numerous claims related to the state her home was in when it was handed over. Athena Private...
