A property development company linked to a recently liquidated construction firm has been accused of failing to fulfil its obligations to a homeowner who was left out of pocket. The Disputes Tribunal has ordered developer Athena Private to compensate an Auckland homebuyer for defects in the $1.5 million Ōrākei property she purchased off the plans.  In December, the Disputes Tribunal ordered Athena Private to pay Sarah (not her real name) $30,000, the highest level of relief the Tribunal can order, for numerous claims related to t...
