The Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s plush new leased office in Auckland's Britomart quarter will be almost half empty when occupancy begins in November, but the regulator says the unused floor space will provide future proofing.The 10-year, $32 million Britomart lease was inked before the central bank’s new Government funding agreement, which curtailed budget expectations and launched an efficiency drive that has led to job losses.That meant the Reserve Bank of NZ’s (RBNZ) total Auckland headcount was down by 31 staff (18%)...
