Property management and rental agencies are passing on annual base rate hikes for owners’ rental properties after online property site Trade Me put up its baseline prices by about 40%.Also, where firms are opting in to "feature" plans, they're hiking fees by as much as 82%, with a minimum spend ratcheting up from $49 to $89 per week.The increases, effective from January, come as government data shows residential rental costs rose 4% year-on-year to March, contributing 0.4% to an inflation rate of 6.9%.
