Ten polytechnics will be re-established next year, with four more left within Te Pūkenga for now as they work toward viability, Vocational Education Minister Penny Simmonds said.The Government has been unpicking its predecessor’s move to put all polytechnics under one central institution, and Simmonds said the decision was a milestone in the move to a regionally responsive vocational training system.The 10 polytechnics returning to regional governance are:Ara Institute of Canterbury (Ara)Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT)Nelson Marlbor...
