Pushpay, chasing sales growth, widens annual loss, plans capital raising

By Tina Morrison May 18 (BusinessDesk) - Pushpay Holdings, whose mobile payment app allows churches to raise money from parishioners, posted a wider annual loss as it chased sales growth ahead of profit, reiterating its forecast to break even in 2017. The loss widened to $19.4 million, or 8.6 cents per share, in the year ended March 31, from a loss of $7.5 million, or 4.05 cents, a year earlier, the Auckland-domiciled, US-headquartered company said in a statement.
