The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has appointed an independent third party to undertake a comprehensive review of a recent data hack.“The recent malicious and illegal breach of a file-sharing application used by the bank is significant, and has our full attention,” said governor Adrian Orr.Early this week the RBNZ named California-based Accellion as the third-party file sharing service breached in a cyber-attack last weekend.According to Orr, the standalone file transfer application system that was breached has been secured and closed...
