The country’s five biggest electricity retailers have been asked to explain how they set prices for their retail arms. The Electricity Authority has written to the firms – Genesis Energy, Contact Energy, Mercury NZ, Meridian Energy and Trustpower, seeking a detailed breakdown of how they calculate internal transfer prices.
