Briscoe Group pushed sales to $179.7 million for the 13 weeks to the end of October, up 2.4% on last year's comparable $175.5m, which lays a firm footing for the year assuming solid consumer spending into the important Christmas period.The dual New Zealand- and Australian-listed group, which trades under its Briscoes homeware and Rebel Sport sporting goods retail brands, saw homeware sales increase 1.3% to $109.1m, while sporting goods returns bounced just over 4% to $70.6m, year-on-year.Managing director Rod Duke said the company...
