McDonald’s NZ cuts dividend payment by $100m as profits dip

McDonald’s Restaurant New Zealand, the local arm of the fast-food chain, has cut its dividend payment by $100 million.According to financial statements published by the Companies Office on Tuesday, the Auckland-based subsidiary paid an $80m dividend to its United States parent in the year to Dec 31.The dividend payment was down from the $180m distributed in 2023 but more than the $30m declared the year prior.Profits hitMcDonald’s NZ reported net profits after tax of $59.8m, a 43.2% drop compared with the previous year.The...
