Kimbyr Investments, the NZ operator of major retail chains including Just Jeans, Smiggle and Peter Alexander has more than doubled its net profit to $21.2 million from $9.0m in the 53 weeks to July 31, 2021, from $9.0m in the previous year. While acknowledging a “highly uncertain macro environment” due to covid-19, the company said it did not need to record further impairment losses in New Zealand, having already discounted its estimated cash flows in 2020 by 10.5%.
