SkyCity has finally received the keys to the New Zealand International Convention Centre after NZ’s largest commercial building fire since 1947, a global pandemic slowed construction and months of unexplained construction delays pushed out the expected opening date.A press release from the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC), via NZICC’s owner SkyCity, on Tuesday morning said the keys to NZICC had been handed over and commissioning works on the building were under way.
