The Commerce Commission has taken legal action against HelloFresh, alleging the company misled consumers during cold calls aimed at reactivating cancelled subscriptions.ComCom has filed criminal charges in the Wellington District Court, claiming that HelloFresh's conduct between February 2022 and July 2023 breached the Fair Trading Act.It also alleges that previous customers were offered a discount voucher without being told that accepting the voucher would reactivate their subscription.ComCom was concerned that this resulted in some cancel...
