Trash collector Waste Management says it mistakenly issued final letters of demand to more than 4,800 of its residential customers via its debt collection agency, wrongly claiming almost $500,000 in unpaid accounts.The East Tamaki-based company, owned by Chinese state-owned Beijing Capital Group NZ, was forced to issue a mass apology after a slew of former residential customers received strongly worded letters of demand from collection agency EC Credit Control.ECCC didn't respond to a BusinessDesk inquiry as to how an average of 10 letters...
