Wellington-based game publisher PikPok has acquired Colombian game studio Wizard Fun Factory in a move accelerated by New Zealand’s covid border restrictions.Based in Medellín, Wizard Fun Factory will change its branding to PikPok and act as the company’s first overseas studio.PikPok chief executive Mario Wynands wouldn't speak to the value of the deal but told BusinessDesk the company had been evaluating how to expand overseas for several years.“The situation with talent shortages, the rising cost of living, the bo...
