Waikato DHB cyber-attack follows familiar global pattern

Cybersecurity experts say the attack on Waikato DHB’s IT systems was likely made through the in-vogue ransomware tool called Conti.Bruce Armstrong, director of cybersecurity company Darkscope, told BusinessDesk the tool is a trojan virus that is deployed via an attachment into an IT system to encrypt servers.
