Investors could be forgiven for thinking Fonterra’s having a laugh if it wants them to give it another go.The shareholders’ fund kicked off with such a hiss and a roar in 2012 with massive demand driving a 26% spike in the unit price on debut and marching 47% higher to a peak of $8.09 just four months later.Now it’s on life support with an overbearing Fonterra refusing to put it out of its misery despite the fund’s independent directors finally showing some steel in public on recommending the dairy giant buy out its exte...
