Timaru port boss takes a crack at Fonterra, KiwiRail as shippers leave
July 10 (BusinessDesk) - Timaru has lost its container port thanks to New Zealand government subsidies for its KiwiRail business and dairy cooperative Fonterra's decision to bypass Timaru in favour of Port of Lyttelton three years ago, says Timaru port's chief executive Jeremy Boys.
