Private equity-owned and Queenstown-based tourism company Active Adventures has shifted gears and added another brand to its growing stable. Talking to BusinessDesk, chief executive Wendy van Lieshout said the company added the US family-owned Discovery Bicycle Tours to its portfolio two weeks ago. Van Lieshout did not wish to disclose the amount paid for the company; however, the Australian Financial Review reported a figure of A$3 million (NZ$3.3m) on Wednesday. Active Adventures has been owned by US-based privat...
