The government will kick back rebates of up to $8,625 for new electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and $3,450 for used plug-ins from next month.Under the new 'clean car' scheme, buyers can claim a direct rebate from NZ Transport Waka Kotahi on electric vehicles registered from July 1.
