Vietjet announces plan for Auckland-Ho Chi Minh City flights

Low-cost carrier Vietjet Air has announced its first air service between New Zealand and Vietnam, with flights between Auckland and Ho Chi Minh City starting in September.The service will initially offer four return flights a week.The announcement was made at an event in Hanoi attended by Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon, with senior officials and business leaders from both nations.Luxon said the route would strengthen connectivity between the two countries, creating growth opportunities in tourism, tr...
