Wall Street was mixed too, as a result. In afternoon trading in New York, the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.09 percent. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 0.14 percent, while the Nasdaq Composite Index eked out a 0.06 percent gain. Among the bright spots was Boeing.
