Air New Zealand has revised its full-year guidance, citing softening revenue conditions.

The airline now expects underlying profitability for the 2024 financial year to be approximately $40m to $50m lower.

This is due to ongoing economic challenges, cost-of-living pressures, and subdued demand from the government and corporate sectors domestically.

In addition, the North American market has been impacted by competitive pricing pressures.

As a result of these factors, Air New Zealand anticipates earnings before taxation for the 2024 financial year to be in the range of $190m to $230m.

The company will continue to monitor the evolving market conditions.
