Allied Farmers has invited shareholders to its annual meeting, where they will consider the sale of all shares in NZ Farmers Livestock held by its subsidiary, Allied Farmers Rural.
The meeting is scheduled for November 6, 2025, and will be held online.
Shareholders will also be asked to approve the auditor's remuneration and the re-election of directors Shelley Ruha and Philip Luscombe.
The board of directors, in a unanimous decision, believes that the sale of NZFL is in the best interests of the company and its shareholders.
The transaction, which was entered into with Rural Livestock and other NZFL shareholders, is supported by an independent appraisal report from Simmons Corporate Finance.
The report concluded that the terms of the sale are fair to shareholders not associated with related parties.
