Heartland Group Holdings has announced the appointment of Andrew Dixson as its new chief executive officer, effective from Oct 1, 2024.

The appointment is subject to non-objection from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

Dixson, currently the group's chief financial officer, has been with Heartland since 2010 and has played a key role in the company's evolution.

He will succeed Jeff Greenslade, who will retire from his role and all Heartland directorships on Sept 30, 2024.

Dixson will also be appointed as a non-independent, non-executive director of Heartland Bank.

The group chief financial officer role will not be replaced.

Heartland's operations as the parent company of two banks have shifted their focus to group strategy, investor relations, corporate finance, capital allocation, and strategic and risk management oversight.

As a result, the deputy group CEO role has been disestablished, and Chris Flood will leave the company on Oct 31, 2024.
