Application Submitted for Fast-Track Consent - TRH Repower

NZ Windfarms Limited NZ Windfarms Ltd has submitted an application for a fast-track consent to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) for the Te Rere Hau Repowering Project.

The Repower Project has the potential to generate a five-fold increase to the wind farm's energy production, equating to 1.2% of New Zealand's overall electricity generation and 27% of New Zealand's wind generation capacity.

The project could create 450 construction-related jobs and 67 permanent jobs and is expected to have a decision made in the June 2023 quarter.
