SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SKC.NZX/SKC.AX) announced that the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) has initiated civil penalty proceedings against SkyCity Adelaide Pty Limited, the operator of the SkyCity Adelaide Casino in South Australia, for allegedly contravening the Australian Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 and Rules.
If the proceedings are successful, SkyCity Adelaide may face a material civil penalty.
SkyCity is not able to comment further on the allegations at this stage.
