Chatham Rock Phosphate Limited (TSXV: NZP and NZX: Chatham) has achieved significant milestones over the last 12 months, including the acquisition of Avenir Makatea Pty Limited, the acquisition of the Korella phosphate and rare earths mining lease and assets based in Queensland, and admission to Safer Phosphates as a producer of low cadmium phosphate.
The company is on track to become a self-sustaining international producer and trader of organic, low cadmium rock phosphate in 2022, with further phosphate projects in the pipeline.
International fertiliser prices have increased significantly in the last 12 months, making Chatham's prospective mines profitable.
