Chorus has outlined its strategic plans for the future, as it transitions from being a network builder to a network operator.
The company aims to become a purpose-led organisation, with a focus on enabling better futures through connectivity.
Chorus has set a goal of achieving 80% fibre uptake by 2030 and plans to retire its legacy copper network by the same year.
The company is also exploring growth and optimisation opportunities, including the recycling of copper cabling, reviewing options for non-core high sites, and launching IoT asset management solutions.
Chorus reaffirmed its guidance for the 2025 financial year, with ebitda expected to be between $700 million and $720m, and gross capital expenditure of $400m to $440m.
It plans to detail its plans at an investor day, which opened at 12.45pm on December 2.
