WasteCo has appointed David Peterson as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective from Feb 26 2024.
Peterson, who brings a wealth of experience in sectors such as engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and project management, will be tasked with leading WasteCo's growth strategy in the New Zealand waste sector.
This appointment comes as the company remains focused on exploring new growth opportunities and acquisitions for the year ahead.
Meanwhile, James Redmayne, the co-founder and current CEO, will transition to a new role as general manager of business development.
WasteCo expressed satisfaction with the successful integration of the businesses it acquired in Southland in 2023, noting that both acquisitions - Cleanways, Enviro South, and Wastech Services - are trading strongly and have contributed to improved operating performance.
